  • CD and DVD Burning Software Designed for Quality

Disc burning software does more than just store your digital media. It can also edit images and media to correct common issues that show up with digital media.

For example, audio from cassettes can have popping or clicking. CD burning software can erase those clicks, leaving you with nothing but quality audio. Or if you’re moving photos from your digital camera to your computer, you may notice that the eyes of people in pictures taken in low light have turned red. You can restore the original eye color with disc burning software.

Once your media is on your disc, add navigable chapters, voice-overs, artist metadata, and far more. With CD and DVD disc burning software, you’re not just storing media — you’re making a disc that has the same features as the ones you find off the shelf in stores.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Windows 11 have a DVD burning program?

Technically, yes. Both File Manager and Windows Media Player can burn discs. However, it is extremely limited and does nothing else other than copy data onto a disc. If you want to burn discs with high-quality video and audio, navigable chapters, and other features that make a disc truly usable for media, you’ll need dedicated CD and DVD disc burning software.

Can you legally burn DVDs?

Yes, burning DVDs with media you own is legal. However, it’s only legal for personal or educational use. Burning DVDs with data you didn’t create for distribution or sale is illegal.

Can I transfer media from a VHS or cassette tape to a disc?

Yes, but the process of analog-to-digital conversion is complicated and requires specialized equipment. First, you’ll need equipment and a program that can create a digital copy of the media (also known as “ripping”). Then, depending on the type of media, you will need an optical disc drive and CD or DVD burning software to copy that media onto a disc.
